Mental Health in Maritime Meeting at LISW25

Maritime UK, in partnership with Hill Dickinson and the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), is hosting an exclusive roundtable during London International Shipping Week 2025 to explore practical ways to foster a safer, healthier culture around mental health in the maritime industry.

This event will bring together professionals from across the maritime sector – alongside voices from other industries – to share tangible strategies for:

• Supporting mental health in high-pressure and challenging working environments, including developing an understanding of the structural causes of stress for seafarers.

• Building inclusive, supportive workplaces where employees feel valued and able to thrive.

• Encouraging open and honest dialogue to reduce stigma and promote wellbeing at all levels.

With an emphasis on real-world solutions and collaborative discussion, this session will provide a trusted space for industry leaders to exchange insights, experiences, and actionable ideas to improve mental health outcomes within maritime organisations.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, increasing the accessibility of the event. We encourage members of the industry to join us in person or online for an open, constructive dialogue.
