Build Back Better

 As the UK recovers from the global Covid-19 pandemic and looks to the future, there is need for reflection around the long-term priorities of the sector, and how to advance goals for the future in a progressive and sustainable way, building back better.

Published in 2019, the government's Maritime 2050 strategy set out ambitions for the future of the UK's maritime sector across a range of areas, providing a roadmap for both government and industry action in the short, medium, and long term, leading up to 2050. 

The Build Back Better webinar series, organised by Maritime UK in partnership with various member organisations, aims to examine the visions for the future set out in the Maritime 2050 strategy against the backdrop of the UK's Covid-19 recovery, understand current progress, identify gaps in delivery and consider reconfigurations necessary to achieve those goals set for the future.
