A specialist in international projects and business development at CEO level within both the regulatory, commercial and charities sectors, and including the leading of governmental regulatory project, with a strong track record leading teams. Advises various UK and international government maritime and shipping departments on education and outreach projects, including a national maritime outreach programme with schools.

A decade of volunteer management experience, both in the UK and globally. The last nine years have been leading a professional body that understands the transformative impact of education on individuals and communities.

She leads industry initiatives in the UK and Europe on governance and diversity.

She was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Honours list in 2020 for her work on diversity within the maritime sector.

She was awarded the Meritorious Public Service Award from the United States Coastguard in 2020 for her work to support the AMVER programme.

Now specializes in corporate responsibility, corporate citizenship and corporate governance issues and is particularly passionate about social equity issues.
