Katherine Moggach

Katherine joined the RFA in 2003 as a logistic supply officer. Several trips completed around the world and in the UK sometimes being the only woman or one of only a few women onboard. Completed two years as the RFA recruitment officer undertaking interviews of candidates for all crew as the hr representative or the SME within the LS branch recruitment process. After promotion to first officer took a two year sabbatical to bring up her son and returned to sea in 2017. Currently RFA training officer at the defence college of logistics policing and administration before going back to sea in Nov 2021. 

Has had an amazing career at sea but understands the anxiety and isolation with being a lone female in an unknown environment (refit yard meetings a classic example). Can put people at ease using experience of recruitment processes and life at sea skills.
