Women in... Summit

The second Women in Summit will bring back together Women in Maritime, Women in Transport, Women in Aviation, Women to Rail and Innovate UK KTN to share best practice and cross-collaboration. This year the Summit will also include Women in Logistics.

The 2022 Summit will feature a panel session with representatives from across all the sectors. This will be followed by breakout sessions which will deep dive into one of four themes covering leadership; careers and education; mental health and wellbeing; language and the roles of allies.

Timings:

13:00: Welcome and Keynotes

13:20 – 14:00: Panel session involving:

-          Chrissie Clarke, Head of People Programmes and Operations, Maritime UK (Chair)

-          Clare Bottle, Vice Chair, Women in Logistics

-          Sonya Byers, CEO, Women in Transport

-          Deborah Layde, Chief Executive, The Seafarers’ Charity and Chair, Women in Maritime Network

-          Jon Manning, CEO and Founder, Arthur Ellis

14:00 – 15:50: Breakout Rooms:

-          Room 1: What is an ally, how to be an ally and importance of inclusive language for allies

-          Room 2: Sharing challenges/best practice within our industries - Engagement with young people

-          Room 3: Sharing challenges/best practice within our industries – Getting senior roles and encouraging seniority 

-          Room 4: Sharing challenges/best practice within our industries Mental health and wellbeing

This is a hybrid event and will be hosted at Norton Rose and live streamed from London. Online streaming will commence at 1pm.
