BAE Systems sponsors Employer of the Year

BAE Systems has been announced as Category Sponsor for the Employer of the Year Award for the third national Maritime UK Awards 2022 to be held at the Glasgow Science Centre on 10 March. 

The Maritime UK Awards recognise the very best of the UK’s maritime sector, organised by industry, for the benefit of the industry. 

BAE Systems, produces advanced defence technology that protects people, ensures national security, and keeps critical information and infrastructure secure. They search for new ways to provide our customers with a competitive edge across the air, maritime, land and cyber domains. We employ a skilled workforce of 89,600 people in more than 40 countries and work closely with local partners to support economic development by transferring knowledge, skills and technology. 

The Employer of the Year award is open to a business, charity or organisation of any size. This award recognises organisations that have created a stimulating and supportive work environment and a real commitment to the welfare of their employees, resulting in high staff satisfaction levels and a well-motivated, ambitious and integrated workforce. The winner will be able to evidence dedication to personal and professional development, staff satisfaction and HR initiatives, creating a supportive and engaging working environment.

The awards, which are open to companies from across the breadth of the maritime sector including its shipping, ports, services, engineering, and leisure marine industries, opened on 10 December, the winners of each category will be announced on 10 March at the Glasgow Science Centre.
