The Seafarers’ Charity

The Seafarers’ Charity is the largest independent grant funder of maritime welfare and safety charities. We have been improving the lives of seafarers and their families for more than 100 years.

The charity awards funding to a diverse range of partner organisations who deliver vital, targeted help where it’s needed most. We are proud to offer seafarers an ecosystem of support throughout their careers and beyond, addressing issues such as financial hardship, health and wellbeing, sexual harassment on board, safety and more.

In 2024, The Seafarers’ Charity supported more than 600,000 seafarers globally via £2.6 million in grant funding.
