Meeting #6 9 December 2022
Intro and Purpose
- Purpose – to receive feedback from the SEG and receive reports from action owners.
1) Introductions
2) Feedback from the SEG
Ben Murray discussed the recent meeting of the SEG and explained that SEG members were invited to provide further feedback to the Task and Finish Group. To date, no feedback had been provided. The only other note was that there was broad agreement at the SEG that all workstreams should consider the demand from the development of offshore wind.
1) Updates from action owners
Matrix (#2) - Graham Wren, John Hudson, Rachel Connor.
- The group presented their latest version of the matrix and agreed to further develop ahead of the next meeting following discussions around the scope and form of the matrix. The general view was that if an initiative fit the definition as agreed by the group, and aligns with the themes of the NSBS (headers for the matric) then they should be included in the first pass. There was a specific discussion around the types of 'centres' and a distinction was made between those that are industrial and those that are academic. It was agreed by the group that the matrix should encapsulate both and members were asked to send further examples to the group for inclusion.
Models (#4) - Monty Long, Geoff Searle.
- Geoff Searle discussed initial thinking for this workstream and explained that a fuller paper would be presented to the next meeting.
Behaviours (#7) - Patrick Carnie, Richard Powell.
- Patrick Carnie explained that work is progressing it would be his intention to engage with colleagues from BEIS and the Institute for Collaborative Working to help finalise the paper.
Focus (#8) - Andy Mitchell, Ken Houlberg.
- Andy discussed initial thinking on this and explained that this would be further developed for the next meeting.
