About the university

University College London (UCL) is a research university and member institution of the University of London. UCL is the third largest university in the UK by total enrolment, and the largest postgraduate enrolment in the country. With its main campus in Bloomsbury in central London, UCL also consists of a number of institutes and teaching hospitals, and is organised into 11 faculties with over 100 different departments. Some of these departments engage in maritime studies and research, with students pursuing degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering among other things.
